Hayley Preziosi is a graduate of Western University, with a double major in classical voice and popular music studies. She has studied with soprano Gwenlynn Little, and has also worked with acclaimed Toronto vocal coaches Elaine Overholt and Micah Barnes.
Hayley has spent a lifetime singing and composing original music, and is thrilled to be embarking on the journey of sharing it. Songwriting credits include Third Place in Western University’s campus-wide singer-songwriter competition of more than 30,000 students (2006).
Currently, Hayley performs and tours regularly with Toronto-based acclaimed a cappella group Countermeasure (Best CAL album at the 2017 Contemporary Acapella Recording Awards). With Countermeasure, Hayley has shared the stage with such vocal giants as The Swingle Singers, The Real Group, and The Nylons, as well as Canadian music mainstays Corey Hart, Chantal Kreviazuk, Nikki Yanofsky, Alan Frew, and Blue Rodeo. They have appeared on CBC, Global, Rogers, and CTV Breakfast Televison, at the SOCAN Awards, and Gilda’s Gala at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts. Countermeasure’s first two albums “14 Characters” and “Made to Measure” have played on syndicated radio stations across North America.
Hayley’s solo credits include a performance of “All I Ask of You” (Les Miserables) with Canadian Tenor Michael Burgess at the Ontario Philharmonic Mayors’ Gala, the National Anthem at the Women’s Provincial Hockey finals at Maple Leaf Gardens, and first place in the Durham Region Wide “Dreams to Reality” vocal competition. Her musical Theatre credits include Penny Pingleton in Hairspray (City Youth Players), Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast (Cadenza Productions), & soloist in the Love is a Poverty You Can Sell Series (Soup Can Theatre), Best of Fringe at the Toronto Fringe Festival 2010.
